On June 22nd, VALORCAR organized a meeting in Vila Franca de Xira with 135 participants. In addition to the VALORCAR NETWORK centers, representatives of public and private entities linked to the end-of-life vehicle (ELV) and waste battery and accumulator (RBA) treatment sector were also present.
The program included the presentation of the planned legislative developments and the waste management results obtained in 2022, as well as the debate of the challenges and opportunities posed to the treatment of ELV (illegal dismantling, recovery of non-metallic materials and document management) and of Lithium battery waste (refurbishing, fire and electrocution hazards, and recycling technologies).
The meeting also included the delivery of merit plaques to the centers with the best performance in 2022, ending with a social lunch among the participants.
