On May 17th, the International Recycling Day, VALORCAR promoted a technical session on the computer connection between the National System for the Issuing of Certificates of Destruction - SNECD and the computer system of the Mobility and Transportation Institute - IMT for automatic cancellation of the vehicle registration.
This session took place in S. Domingos de Rana, at COMBUSTOIL facilities, and was attended by Arch. Hugo Polido Pires, Secretary of State for the Environment. Representatives of the Portuguese Environment Agency and the Mobility and Transport Institute were also present.
Mandatory depollution/dismantling operations were also monitored during this initiative, and various topics related to the management of End-of-Life Vehicles were addressed. There was also the opportunity to visit a used oil treatment unit, belonging to the COMBUSTOIL group, located nearby.
